Dr. Stangebye is celebrating 28 years of excellence this year!
Many of our patients have known Dr. Stangebye for a very long time. Some patients were even inherited from Dr. Nauss and have been with our dental family for the full 28 years. Our patients are considered part of our dental family. For those of you who have not been with us as long, here is a little history about our practice and Dr. Stangebye.
Dr. Stangebye was born and grew up in Hobart, Indiana. He graduated from River Forest High School in Hobart where he participated in football, wrestling, track and field and band. It was actually in band where he met the love of his life, Sue. He has also had an everlasting love for all things mechanical, especially airplanes and motorcycles. Following high school, he obtained his undergraduate degree from Purdue University, specializing in Electrical Engineering. He then began pursuing his dental career at Indiana University School of Dentistry. He graduated from Indiana University in 1990.
Over the past 28 years, he and his wife, have built a practice here in the Michiana area. He has focused on providing the latest advancements in dentistry to his patients, taking care to keep his patients care in the forefront. Dr. Stangebye takes pride in continuing his education and staying up to date every year with the all the modern technology dentistry has to offer.
Dr. Stangebye's course and love of learning has taken him across the country. Ranging from Pennsylvania to Nevada where he has studied specialized training in Micro-endodontics (utilizing a microscope during a root canal procedure) to Advanced Implant Placement, respectively. His main concentrations have been Endodontics, Implants and Oral Conscious Sedation over the years.
Dr. Stangebye is a Member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, The Northern Indiana Dental Association, The American Academy of Dental Anesthesiologists, The Academy of General Dentistry; a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologist; a graduate of MISCH International Institute for Implantology. He is also certified in different methods of sedation dentistry.
The staff at Advance Dental have been with Dr. Stangebye for numerous years. He sees his dental team as a very valuable part of his practice. Each member of his staff are knowledgeable, confident, friendly and caring. They work with Dr. Stangebye to provide the best possible dental care and service at all times. Each member of the staff strive to treat every patient and individual who walks through our doors with compassion, as they would a family member.
Dr. Stangebye and his wife, Sue, celebrated their 32 year wedding anniversary this winter. Sue has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years and works full time along side Dr. Stangebye on the business side of the office. Together they have four beautiful children, one granddaughter and two grandsons. As well as, two dogs and many cats, they consider their beautiful life very full. They also enjoy spending time together whether it is rock climbing, traveling, going to estate sales or just quiet time at their home as a family.
Dr. Stangebye and his staff greatly value each and every one of their patients. We truly have the best patients in town. Without wonderful patients we would not have such a wonderful dental office.
